One of the most famous names in harness racing is about to die off unless William Ross finds a home for his five-year-old standardbred mare
Hannah G Adios.
Ross is unable to keep the mare due to health reasons and is giving her away to a good home for the sole purpose of keeping the Adios name alive. "Adio" is one of the reserved family names that can only be used if it appears in part of the sire or dam’s name. Reserved family names are considered ancestry foundation names for the Standardbred breed.
Hannah G Adios (Smile As You Go - Anna G Adios) is the last reproducing offspring with the Adios name according to SC records. If you're interested in keeping the Adios name alive, Ross can be reached at 519 233 3296.
