Post positions have been drawn for The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono’s ‘Mischief Night,’ which will feature the track’s annual Grey Ghost and Poltergeist Pace this Tuesday (Oct. 30).
Gotta Love Him is set to make his sixth start in the event. The Cindy Weitoish-trained 10-year-old won the event in 2014 and 2015, and his owners are hoping that his first win of 2018 will be by the light of the ghostly Halloween-eve moon. Matt Kakaley will steer the popular gelding, who brings his own cheering section, from Post 1.
White Rolls won the race in 2016 with driver Jim Marohn Jr. This year he will be driven by Pat Berry. Amanda Malone trains the five-year-old.
Another returning ‘Grey Ghost’ is White Bliss, who is snow-white in colour and a true attraction to see. Ake Svanstedt trains the six-year-old and Simon Allard has picked up the drive.
Rounding out the field will be Marc Mellow Man for Rob Harmon with Tyler Buter driving, and Gypsy Leather for William Adamczyk.
There will be face painting starting at 5:30 p.m., and children can paint a pumpkin, so bring the kids! Plus, there will be free candy! Post time for the night will be at 7:00 p.m. The Grey Ghost and Poltergeist Pace has been programmed as Race 4 on the card.
