Louis Moison Passes

Published: October 26, 2009 10:11 am EDT

Longtime horse owner and trainer and OHHA Director Louis Moison passed away on Friday October 23rd, 2009, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was 70 years old.

Louis Paul Moison has lost his battle with cancer but he never gave up the fight. Never did Louis lose hope; never did he complain. Louis always showed a positive attitude and held a strength that helped others around him cope with his illness. Louis always worried about how others around him were doing as he was fighting for his own life. With his passing we have lost a husband, a father, a Pepe, a friend and an amazing person. His courage and his strength will, however, never be lost. They will live on with those who were close to him and in return we will pass that strength on to those that may be in need. Anyone who has ever known Louis will understand when we say that there will never be another person who will touch us in the way that he has. While sharing our lives together, he has given us strength, knowledge and endless love that will guide us through this time of sorrow and into the future.

Louis will be truly missed, always remembered and always loved. Louis will be sadly missed by his sweetheart of 52 years, wife Pat (Bisnaire), daughter Renee and husband Mike, daughter Denise and husband Eric, daughter Michelle and husband Cris, son Marc and wife Anisa. Pepe will be sadly missed by his adoring grandchildren Ryen; Zoe and Jacob; Zander, Sydney and Sophie; Aiden and Arayah.

Donations in memory of Louis to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated. Visiting Sunday October 25th from 2pm 9pm at the Melady Funeral Home 572 Notre Dame St. Belle River 519-728-1500. Prayers Sun. 8pm. On Monday, October 26th, family and friends are asked to gather at St. Simon & St. Jude Church from 9:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Interment at St. Simon & St. Jude Cemetery. My sincerest condolences. This is very saddening to hear. For the short time I knew Louis, since we started as OHHA reps at the same time, he was a very likeable person and you could tell he really cared about helping the racing industry and the horse people.

Louis, you will be missed.
