Badlands Nitro Back To Stud Duty

Winbak Farm is proud to announce that Badlands Nitro, p, 2, 1:51.1f, 3, 1:50f ($1,597,638) will be returning to stallion duty in 2013.

Badlands Nitro was a stakes winner at two and three. At two, he equalled Artsplace’s world record of 1:51.1f winning the Matron Elimination and also won the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Final. He was second in the Smullin Memorial.

At three, he won the elimination and Final of the Art Rooney, the Final of the Battle of The Brandywine, elimination and Final of the Max Hempt Memorial, elimination of the Cane Pace, and the elimination of the North America Cup. He was second (to Somebeachsomewhere) in the North America Cup Final, Little Brown Jug elimination, the Cane Pace Final and Progress Pace elimination.

The richest son of Badlands Hanover, his first crop averaged $27,429 at the yearling sales in 2011 – headlined by Nitros Wiggle who sold for $100,000 at Harrisburg. His first crop is led by Tijuana Party, p, 2, Q1:56.1f ($39,795), who won a NYSS division at Monticello and was second in a NYSS division at Buffalo.
