If more than $1.5 million in stakes money up for grabs Saturday night isn’t enough incentive to watch and wager, Yonkers Raceway has added a bit more.
The track has announced that there will be a $20,000 guaranteed Pick 5 pool, comprised of all the featured events – the $500,000 Yonkers Trot, $500,000 Messenger Stakes, $250,000 International Trot Preview, $150,854 Lady Maud and $124,590 Hudson Filly Trot.
The wager is a 50-cent base wager with no consolation payoff. The guaranteed pool is a joint venture of Yonkers, the Standardbred Owners Association of New York and the US Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program.
