Results will be updated online for the fifth and final session of the 2018 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

The sale, to be held as usual at the Fasig-Tipton Pavilion in Lexington, Kentucky, kicked off on Tuesday and continues though Saturday, October 6. The auction coincides with The Red Mile's Grand Circuit meet.

The opening session of the 2018 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale took place Tuesday night (Oct. 2) at the Fasig-Tipton Sales Pavilion in Lexington, Kentucky, and it was Treasure Trove that garnered the highest bid of the day at $360,000. The opening day average was up 10.6 per cent over last year, with the gross up 21.4 per cent.

A pair of royally-bred trotters with ties to the Ontario Sires Stakes attracted bids of $400,000+ to become the new sale toppers at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale on Wednesday evening (Oct. 3). Chestnut Hill, a colt by Hambletonian winner Muscle Hill out of 2009 juvenile standout Poof Shes Gone, sold from Peninsula Farm Inc. for $410,000 to agent Richard "Nifty" Norman. Bellareina Dolce, a Muscle Hill filly out of Bella Dolce, was purchased for $400,000 by Lina Alm on behalf of the SRF Stable.

A final bid of $200,000 for the trotting filly Muzzle The Yakker proved to be the biggest bid of Thursday evening’s third session of the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale. Reijo Liljendahl signed the sales slip on Hip 323 Muzzle The Yakker, a daughter of Explosive Matter out of the Angus Hall mare Baileys Breeze – a half-sister to Casual Breeze (1:53.1 - $1,347,330).

On a night in which the New York Yankees lost Game 1 of the ALDS to their long-time rivals, the Boston Red Sox, it was ironic to see Newyorknewyork Deo in the role of Friday’s fourth session of the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale. Selling as Hip 475, Newyorknewyork Deo went to the Andy Miller Stable for $110,000. The son of Chapter Seven-Doris Deo has a pair of $100,000-winning siblings – Mavens Way (1:51.4 - $141,724) and Maximus Deo (1:55.3 - $136,929).

The auction has more than 700 yearlings catalogued, with each session slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.
