The yearling sale organized by Hoofbid gets underway at 10:00 a.m. on Friday (October 16).
The focus of the October 16 yearling sale is Ontario-bred horses. The sale will begin at 10 a.m. Each auction lasts 60 minutes. A new horse enters the virtual ring every 15 minutes.
All auctions are open ended, which means that if a bid is placed within one (1) minute of the closing time of the auction, we will automatically return the clock to one (1) minute remaining on the auction. The auction is over if no bids have been placed with one (1) minute or less on the bid clock. This feature allows all bidders a fair chance to counter a late bid.
Bidding is only available in the app. Bidder verification will be required. To ensure the integrity of our auctions, HoofBid has implemented new bidder verification protocols. To be verified, users must provide their USTA or Standardbred Canada membership number, address and have a valid credit card on file prior to bidding in the sale.
