Fraser Drivers Put On Poker Faces

Calm, cool and collected. Those are the combined elements that make for a top-notch harness racing driver who must show nerves of steel by having to make split-second decisions under extreme pressure.

With the inaugural Drivers Bounty Poker Tournament at Fraser Downs Racetrack & Casino on Saturday, Oct. 20, some of the top drivers at The Downs will be transferring their talents from track to tables as they match wits with standardbred poker-playing fans.

Registration (a $90 buy-in) starts at noon on October 20 with the tournament beginning at 2:00 p.m. Should a player eliminate one of the drivers, he will receive a special T-shirt featuring the driver’s coloured helmet, plus $50 Bounty and a Homestretch buffet dinner for two.

Players can compete with the likes of Scott Knight, Brad Watt, brothers Mark and John Abbott and Amber Lancaster, who will be making up the team of drivers.

For further information contact Sonja Mandic, Manager, Media, Great Canadian Gaming Corp (604) 303 – 6139.
