Fans attending the Red Mile this weekend should plan to stop by Paddock Park and visit the Harness Horse Youth Foundation.
Several activities are scheduled, including guest appearances by equine members of the Harness Racing Youth League stable, graduates of the program available to answer questions, and a tent with a large screen television and information showcasing HHYF programs.
In addition, HHYF trustees and staff will be conducting 'Drive for Youth,' a fundraiser which encourages drivers, trainers and owners to contribute financially in order to assist HHYF with continuing efforts of educating young people about standardbreds and harness racing.
All this will take place Kentucky Futurity Day, October 3, 2009.
For those who can’t attend this fun-filled day, please visit the website for more information on the organization.
