Officials with the Tattersalls Sales Company are reminding horsepeople that entries for the supplemental catalogue for the Winter Mixed Sale will be closing today (Sunday, Jan. 12).
Those wanting to add horses to the sale can call 914-773-7777 during business hours Friday or enter online at tattersallsredmile.com.
The sale will get underway at noon on Monday, Jan. 20 in the Meadowlands race paddock. More than 130 lots are set to go under the auctioneer’s hammer, including more than 100 racehorses.
“Not only are we very pleased with the overall quality, but like so many of our sales, a large number of these horses are currently racing with success and ready to go. In fact, many are in this weekend, so buyers will need to keep an eye on the very latest updates,” said manager David Reid.
The sale features a powerful group of newly turned 4-year-olds like Escapetothebeach, Western Exposure, Captain Trevor and Deplorable Tom, who just won back-to-back at the Meadowlands and is entered again Saturday night.
“With outstanding FFA horses like Lindy The Great and Dr J Hanover, race mares and breeding prospects like Jezzys Legacy and Witch Dali, and a solid section of broodmares and stallion shares, there’ll be something for everyone--racehorse owners and breeders alike,” Reid said.
