Story Of 40-Year-Old Horse To Air Sunday

Published: January 7, 2017 04:53 pm EST

The story of 40-year-old Waco Hanover, a son of Tar Heel born in 1977, and the two men devoted to his care, was originally scheduled to run on the CBS Sunday Morning Show last week. It has been rescheduled for Sunday (January 8).

The Emmy-award winning show airs from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Eastern time zone on CBS affiliates. The listing of all times and outlets where the show is aired can be seen here.

CBS travelled to Waco Hanover’s home in Randolph Center, Vermont on December 21 and 22 to take a look at his life with caretaker Donnie MacAdams and owner Everett Kettler. The spot is expected to air in the 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. time slot, but that is subject to change. The story was postponed last week due to expanded news coverage and this is always a possibility once again.

The story of this remarkable Standardbred and the people in his life was pitched and placed on CBS by the USTA’s Harness Racing Communications division, with assistance from USTA member and CBS News Senior Legal Analyst Andrew Cohen.
