Longtime Standardbred owner Marlene Taylor of Philadelphia, Pa. passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022 at the age of 63.
A member of the U.S. Trotting Association for years, she was the proud owner of several top horses including the 2021 two-year-olds Market Based and Goo Goo Won. Her favourite, however, will always be Fred And Ginger.
She was an incredibly strong woman and the backbone of her family. She is survived by her mother, Zoraida; her loving husband, Howard Taylor; her two beautiful daughters, Lindsay Bell and Ashley Powell (husband Michael); as well as her grandson, Michael Logan Powell, who she adored.
A service for Marlene will be held on Saturday, Jan. 15 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Givnish Funeral Parlor, 398 East Main Street, Marlton, N.J. with a luncheon to follow.
