Officials with the Standardbred Retirement Foundation have announced that the organization’s online breeding auction is now underway.
The auction opened at 12:00 noon today (Monday, Jan. 27) and will run until Wednesday (Jan. 29) at 8p.m.
The SRF has breedings available to bid on directly on ongait.com, or by calling Tammy at 609-738-3255, who will place your bids for you. To access a preliminary list, head to www.adoptahorse.org.
Winning bidders will be notified by email within 24 hours, and a 10 per cent deposit is required at that time with the balance due at the time of live foal.
For 31 years the most important annual fundraiser for SRF has been the donation and sale of breedings. Dedicated to Standardbreds exclusively, SRF has nearly 400 trotters and pacers under its expense and care, approximately 380 more Standardbreds than any other organization. Your support of this is very much needed (These are breedings that would be sold whether they benefit SRF's horses in need, or benefit those who donate the breedings. Thank you to our donors for having these breedings benefit the horses in need.).

Donations of breedings are tax-deductible and help to rehabilitate, rescue, retrain, adopt and follow-up every adoption for life, as well as assist in SRF's Youth Programs. Support of this vital fundraiser is greatly appreciated.
