Fitness Craze, Tirade Hanover and Tough Mac were all winners last time out and are set to meet in Dover Downs’ $18,000 Open/Handicap Trot on Wednesday, January 28.
First-race post time is 4:30 p.m.
Rich Lombardo and Howard Taylor’s Fitness Craze, piloted by Daryl Bier, has won his last three races in a row and will put his win streak on the line. After a short break, Steve Ross, the Solomons and trainer Leigh Raymer’s Tirade Hanover, with Vic Kirby driving, is scheduled to return to action. Other winners seeking to keep win streaks alive include Mike Casalino’s Tough Mac, who was an impressive winner for Corey Callahan his last time out.
The rest of the strong field includes Tina Clark and Joe Clark’s fast finishing Baximum, driven by Allan Davis; Powerful Charger, owned by Tim Tetrick and trainer Jim King moves from the outside to Post 2 with Trace Tetrick; I Like My Boss will start from the rail with Jonathan Roberts for the Parsons and trainer Bob Shahan; and hard-hitting Im So Striking with Eddie Dennis will make his first start since mid-November. Angela Coombs’ Boffin, to be piloted by Ron Pierce, completes the fast lineup.
