'2 For 1' For Always A Virgin In 2021

The connections to Always A Virgin have announced a stud-fee deal for the stallion's 2021 season.

“Always A Virgin might have had his best two-year-old season ever in 2020 with such standouts as the Champion filly Somethingbeautiful p,2,1:51.4 ($312,000) and the Fox Stake winner Virgo p,2,1:51.4 ($126,817), and I have been quite surprised that he has not had more breeding requests for the 2021 season,” said Jeff King of Victory Hill Farm, where the sire of more Breeders Crown winners than any other Indiana stallion stands. “I discussed this with Mitchel Skolnick and Bob Boni, his Syndicate Managers, and to be proactive we think we have come up with a very attractive approach that will continue to give this special stallion the opportunities he has earned and also extend a thank you to those that have and continue to support him.”

What the ownership of Always a Virgin has decided is to offer anyone breeding to him in 2021 the opportunity to breed two mares for the singular advertised stud fee of $6,000.

This arrangement will also be offered to all that have already booked to Always A Virgin for the 2021 season. The only provision will be that both mares have common ownership.

Always A Virgin has sired the winners of nearly $48 million, the most by any Indiana stallion ever, far outdistancing his closest competition including the World Champion co-fastest ever and 2016 Dan Patch Horse of the Year Always B Miki (p,1:46), to go along with four individual Breeders Crown winners and multiple World Champions and Dan Patch Award winners.

In 2020, Always A Virgin was the only Indiana stallion to rank in the top 10 in All-Age Money Winners, siring the winners of $5,521,049, and his two- and three-year-old earnings of $2,267,734 were also far and away number one among the Hoosier sires. His 41 two-year-old winners were also the most by any Indiana stallion.

No other Indiana stallion can match his accomplishments, and for all he has done for us and the state of Indiana, we want to give him every opportunity to continue his legacy.
