Trot Insider has learned that the 2024 opening race dates scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 1 and Friday, Feb. 2 at Fraser Downs have been cancelled.
The cancellations are due to the recent weather impacting the training regimen and the ability to properly condition the horses for the upcoming meet.
The season is now scheduled to commence the following week on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.
