The season opening of Clinton Raceway is set for Sunday, May 17, and the Jan. 31 deadline to sign up for the Huron County oval's 'Day at the Races' program is now just over a week away.
Clinton Raceway's program, now in its sixth year, sees local groups, clubs and organizations host trackside events to benefit their causes. From bake sales to silent auctions and everything in between, most Sundays see groups raising between $1,500 and $5,000.
"The fundraisers are a great way to get the groups involved in harness racing," said Clinton Raceway marketing manager Jessica Carnochan. "They bring new faces, and then it's up to us (at the track) to show them what a great afternoon it can be and ultimately get them back."
Clinton Raceway's trackside 'Day at the Races' events brought the Huron County community to the Huron County oval throughout the summer of 2019.
There are limited dates available, and forms can be found by visiting www.clintonraceway.com and following the links. Completed forms are to be submitted to Jessica Carnochan via email at [email protected] prior to Friday, Jan. 31.
