Western Fair / Woodbine Cancel Monday

Woodbine Racetrack and The Raceway at Western Fair District have been forced to cancel their respective programs of live racing that were scheduled for Monday, January 22.

Unseasonably warm temperatures and steady rain has led to deteriorating track conditions at The Raceway at Western Fair District, which has forced the cancellation of the Monday night program.

The forecast is for temperatures to continue to rise throughout the afternoon and into Monday evening, but to drop below freezing late Tuesday afternoon.

Live racing at Western Fair is scheduled again for Tuesday evening at 6:15 p.m. To view the entries, click here.

To help offset the cancellation, race officials will look to include additional races to next week’s live race programs.

Woodbine has has cancelled due to poor track conditions. The suburban Toronto track is experiencing similar warm and wet weather conditions.
