Officials with Equine Guelph have issued a ‘last call’ to grooms and trainers to register for a short, two-week online course entitled ‘Gut Health & Colic Prevention,’ which is being offered exclusively to the Ontario racing industry for free.

Are gut issues affecting your stable's performance on the track? The Gut Health & Colic Prevention course is racing-focused and can be of benefit for all racehorse trainers and grooms. Learn how to reduce the risk of ulcers, colic and digestive tract issues in your barn, and improve your horse’s performance on the track. The course will feature online guest expert Don Kapper, who is a highly experienced equine nutritionist from the U.S.

Never taken an online course before? No worries! There is no set schedule, so head online at your convenience. The course will take a common sense, practical approach to training. No prior online learning experience is required.

The course will commence this coming Monday (Jan. 20) and will run through January 31.

Register for free at TheHorsePortal.ca/RacingPilot using the coupon code provided for each sector. The course is being offered on a first-come-first-served basis to the first 100 AGCO licence holders that register. At the time of this publishing, there are 44 free spots still available.
