The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association has announced that Susan Schroeder has assumed the position of project co-ordinator.

Schroeder has relocated to Ohio from Minnesota where she was the executive director of Minnesota Harness Racing, Inc. for the past four years. Prior to the position in Minnesota, Schroeder trained and raced horses at the Chicago-area tracks and county fairs in Wisconsin and Illinois.

Schroeder has been very active on the Wisconsin Harness Horse Association board for 25 years and has been instrumental in its marketing efforts. More than 1,000 kids have jogged a racehorse during the many years that the Harness Horse Youth Foundation held day camps at the Schroeder stable. Schroeder also went on the road with HHYF when the Harness Racing Youth League was first formed.

“Harness racing at the fairs has always been a very important part of my life and I am looking forward to working with the fairs throughout Ohio,” said Schroeder.
