Following an unseasonal opening night on Wednesday, winter weather has now reached Buffalo with a bang
.
The return to seasonal conditions has forced officials at Buffalo Raceway to cancel its scheduled program of live harness racing for Friday, January 13.
Blizzard-like conditions have caused unsafe conditions. The weather is expected to last throughout much of the day and dump eight to 12 inches of snow.
Live racing will resume Saturday, January 14 at 6:40 p.m. The track has also announced that the qualifying session scheduled for Friday will be moved to Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
As of Friday at 10:45 a.m., Buffalo Raceway official said that the facility will remain open for simulcasting.
