Tara Hills Stud announced on Monday, Jan. 12 that King Of The North's stallion book is full and closed.

"Special thanks to everyone who supported him," said David Heffering, owner of Tara Hills Stud. "King Of The North’s first two-year-olds will hit the stakes trail this summer!"

King Of The North was voted U.S. Two-Year-Old Trotting Colt of the Year in 2021 after winning six of 10 starts, including the William Wellwood Memorial Stakes and Peter Haughton Memorial Stakes and sweeping the New Jersey Sire Stakes. At age three, the son of world champions Walner and Check Me Out won the Carl Erskine Memorial and captured the Breeders Crown in 1:50.3, a stakes, track and Canadian record at the time.
