Miami Valley Raceway announced today it will offer a $10,000 total pool guarantee on the Lucky Pick 5 wager on its Friday, Jan. 13 program.
The wager, conducted on races 10-14, currently has a carryover in excess of $4,400. That has prompted Miami Valley to join with the USTA's Strategic Wagering Program to offer the chance to make Friday the 13th a lucky (lucrative) day for one or more of its patrons. The Lucky Pick 5 is a 50 cent bet featuring an industry low 12% takeout.
Friday's Pick 5 line-up starts with an eight-horse $22,000 Fillies & Mares Open, followed by a $9,500 mid-range condition race for male pacers, a $20,000 claiming race for mares, an $11,500 high end mares condition race, and concludes with a bottom level $5,000 test for distaff pacing mares.
Post time for Friday's first race at Miami Valley is 6:05 p.m.
