Trot Insider has learned that longstanding owner/trainer Anthony Macri of Waterdown, Ont. passed away during the late hours of Monday, January 11
at a Burlington, Ont. hospital at the age of 55.
The last year in which Macri sent forth pari-mutuel starters was 2005.
Trot Insider has learned that arrangements will be taking place at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home, 2241 New Street Burlington, Ont., 905-637-5233.
Visitation will be taking place on Thursday, January 14 from 7:00 - 9:0 p.m., and Friday, January 15 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A funeral for Macri will be taking place Saturday, January 16 at 10:00 a.m.
