With family by his side, longtime harness racing industry participant Richard Farrell of Harley, Ont. passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 at the age of 87.
Richard was a huge Standardbred fan and owner and trainer to many trotters, including Twin B Sporty.

A private family graveside service will be held with the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford. Interment Pioneer Cemetery, Burford. As expressions of sympathy donations in Richard’s memory may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society.
