The Ontario Racing Commission has released the 2011 Ontario Sires Stakes schedule and it is now posted on the OSS website
.
This year is the first time that the Grassroots finals will be contested at Mohawk Racetrack. To facilitate this move, the Grassroots finals will be held earlier than usual with the Grassroots semi-finals on September 23 and 24 and the finals on October 1.
Due to moving up the date of the Grassroots finals, the two-year-olds will begin their OSS stakes season approximately one week earlier than in 2010. The first two-year-old pacing event will be on June 26, while the two-year-old trotters will start on July 4.
The schedule can be viewed or printed in two formats. The PDF version is available by clicking on the first entry in the 'Notices' section in the top right area of the homepage. This version shows the numbers for the conflicting Gold and Grassroots events.
The other option is to click on 'Schedule and Results' on the menu across the top of the homepage.
Draw dates and times, etc. will be entered on the Schedules and Results section in early April when that information has been finalized.
