On Monday, October 7, representatives from Penn National Gaming, Parx Raynham and the Cordish Companies each delivered pitches to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission regarding why their companies should land the last gaming license in the state.
An article on boston.com has quoted Massachusetts Gaming Commission Chairman Stephen Crosby as saying that the commission is “going to have a very tough choice” and that the commission will announce its decision in late December or early January.
On Friday, October 4, Penn National Gaming delivered its formal application to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission for a Category 2 gaming license for its proposed Plainridge Park Casino located in Plainville, MA.
Penn National is proposing a $225 million fully integrated racing and gaming operation located at the current Plainridge Race Track.
