With Simon Allard in the bike, Lifestream Mindale survived a first over journey to win his Wednesday afternoon assignment at Flamboro Downs, extending his win streak to

eight.

The outside starter got away fourth in the field of eight $6,500 claimers as the co-favoured Fleetwood Albert (Mark MacDonald) set up shop on the front during a :27-second opening quarter. Allard tipped his charge to the outside during the second interval and Lifestream Mindale applied pressure past the half in :56.4 and three-quarters in 1:25.2. The veteran son of Life Sign-Brooke Lobell eventually wore down the leader in the stretch for the 1:56 victory with Marx And Engels (Mitch Sahely) following his cover and finishing three-quarters of a length behind. Meet The Artist (Anthony MacDonald) was third.

Lifestream Mindale returned $4.30 to win. The 12-year-old gelding began his win streak back in February for trainer Bill Robinson and owner Gerrie Tucker of Montreal, QC. He now boasts 68 victories on his lifetime record and sports a bankroll of $292,299.
