Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs will both celebrate America's Independence with live racing on Thursday (July 4).
Tioga will race a matinee card beginning at 1 p.m. A New York Sire Stakes for two-year-old filly trotters is the day's highlight, along with pacing races for fillies and mares. The condition sheet is posted here and the box closes at 9 a.m. on Sunday (June 30). The race office may be reached at (607) 699-7688. There will be no Friday live card at Tioga this week; racing will resume on Saturday and Sunday.
Vernon will race an evening overnight card that begins at the standard post time of 6:10 p.m. The box for this card will close at 9 a.m. on Saturday (June 29). The condition sheet is available here. Vernon will offer racing on Friday and Saturday, constituting a three-day live racing week. The race office number is (315) 829-6825.
