starting fee of $500 due at time of entry. (Horses must be entered by 9 am on entry day; payment due by 3 pm on entry day.)

All envelopes must be clearly post-marked by the stake payment due date to be accepted, despite inadequacies of the postal system. Registered mail is recommended.

1. The B.C. Rules of Standardbred Racing shall govern.
2. All events to be raced a distance of one mile.
3. The purse distribution for each event will be 50%, 25%, 12%, 8%, and 5%. In the event of less than five starters in any event, extra purse monies will be added to the winners share.
4. The Elimination will be cancelled if there are nine or less horses declared to start. The final may be cancelled if less than five are declared to start.
5. All horses must be entered to race. A horse must race in the Elimination or in the event of cancellation of the elimination must have been in the entry box at the time of cancellation to be eligible to the Final.
6. Following the eliminations, the top nine (9) finishers shall race when properly declared to start at time of entry for the Final allowing for the also eligible with any ties drawn by lot.
7. If divisions are required, entries will split by Owner, then Trainer where possible.
8. The also eligible cannot be moved in to race after advance betting has commenced.
9. A supplemental nomination fee of $7,500 (includes starting fee) may be made at the time of entry for the Elimination.
10. HRBC reserves the right to reject any entry and declare the event off due to insufficient entries, less than five (5) betting interests.
11. All questions regarding eligibility will be determined by the Judges and their decision will be Final.
12. A Retention Barn may be required and/or implemented.
FUTURE PAYMENTS:
Standardbred Canada/HRBC, as a courtesy, will make every effort to advise nominators or future sustaining payments but it is the responsibility of the owner of the eligible colt or filly to ensure that future sustaining payments are made whether or not a notice has been received. Failure to make nomination payments when due constitutes automatic withdrawal from the applicable racing events unless supplemental payment has been paid.
