Ziggy Wiggy took top honours on Saturday night equaling her lifetime mark in Georgian Downs' featured $13,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Trot.

As the gates swung open, the eight-year-old Sjs Photo mare and driver Kelly Sheppard settled in fifth position while Enlighten Me (Steve Byron) set the pace with a :28.3 opening quarter. As the field rolled to the half in :59.1, Bjs Fancy (Jean Rene Plante) applied first-over pressure with Ziggy Wiggy catching her cover.

Enlighten Me kept on rolling, but after passing the third quarter station in 1:27.3 the pacesetter begin to fade. Ziggy Wiggy dug in for the win by half a length in 1:57.1.

Pippiwhitestockings (Torgeir Hagmann) closed well for second forcing Bjs Fancy to settle for third.

Sheppard trains and owns the winner of 30 races and over $185,000 in purses.
