Fans at Kawartha Downs were treated to a fantastic four-horse photo finish in Tuesday's Preferred Pace, and With Anticipation ended up taking the checkered flag in the $15,000 thriller.

The six-year-old son of Jennas Beach Boy, who had finished no worse than third in the last three editions of the Fraserville feature, rallied from just off the pace to win by a neck in a time of 1:52.1 for driver Sylvain Filion and trainer Richard Moreau.

Wholly Louy supplied fractions of :27.2, :55 and 1:23.1 before being overtaken by three rivals in deep stretch. With Anticipation used a :28.2 closing quarter to prevail over Junior K. Admirals Express, who was sent off as the favourite, was a lapped-on third in the six-horse contest.

The victory bumped With Anticipation's bankroll to $455,688 for the Quebec partnership of Ecurie Richard Moreau Inc., Gestion Mario Audet Inc., Gest Millenium 2000 Inc. and Firmin Jolicouer.
