Earlier this month, four young ladies rallied together to raise support for the Alberta standardbred racing industry by starting a petition, which has since gained over 200 signatures.
Chantelle Walker (14), Danielle Dornbusch (12), Fallon Gillespie (16), Hilary McKee (15) of the Whispering Hills Stables launched a website where 203 supporters have signed their name in support of an online petition that will be presented to the media in order to save the standardbred racing industry in the province after Northlands Park announced that they will no longer be hosting a standardbred meet.
