The Mildred Williams International Driving Series paid a visit to Summerside Raceway on Wednesday, with two divisions on tap.
Carole Dumont of Trois Rivieres, QC drew first blood in the series thanks to her 2:03.3 victory behind pacer Ashleys Storm in Race 3.
The nine-year-old gelded son of Heriator defeated Woodmere Westroute (Colleen Chappell) and Dal Reo Quizacal (Stacy Chiodo).
Tammy Mac Kay of Truro, NS prevailed in the other split thanks to her 2:03.4 triumph with J Ls Newsboy.
The seven-year-old son of Pacific Fella prevailed by a length over runner-up Far Away Place (Stacy Chiodo). Good Nite Rene (Amber Mac Phee) rounded out the top three.
It figures to be a busy weekend for the competitors in the MWIDS. They are scheduled to make stops at the following racetracks over the course of the long weekend:
August 28 – Truro Raceway, NS
August 30 - Northside Downs, NS
August 31 - Inverness Raceway, NS
September 1 - Fredericton Raceway, NB
