Driver David Miller and Mcardle bay Nob Hill High benefited from a pocket ride in the first Standardbred Stake division of the Little Brown Jug afternoon card, propelling to the win in a lifetime best 1:54.
The division was for two-year-old colt and gelding pacers.
Miller and his bay mount sat patiently through opening fractions of :27.4, :56.3 and 1:25. When asked rounding for home, Nob Hill High kicked in with a burst pacing through the wire for Miller.
Sheer Desire (driven by Dave Palone) finished second, while Sand Benelli (Tim Tetrick) rounded out the triactor ticket.
Two divisions of the Standardbred Stake for two-year-old colt and gelding trotters were contested during the morning card. The Bobby Brower-trained Like A Prayer colt Motor Inn captured the first split in 2:01.4 for driver Ron Pierce; while Jeff Smith student Touchdown Franco, another Like A Prayer colt, snared the second division in 1:58.3 for pilot Brad Hanners.
