The Saskatchewan Standardbred Horsemen's Association announced this afternoon that elections were held at its annual General Meeting recently.
Glenn Le Drew will remain on as president by acclamation. Vice president Jane Grainger, who has served the SSHA in recent years, was nominated to serve the next VP term once again. Grainger declined, but stated only so that she can concentrate fully on a more active role as president of the new West Meadows Raceway, which has just applied for six race days for 2009.
The new vice president will be Kelvin Godlien, who has served as a director. The SSHA also welcomes back previous directors Clayton Braybrook and Ron McLeod newly-elected directors Elaine Bell, Glenn Grainger and Max McInnes.

The SSHA is dedicated to growing harness racing in Saskatchewan, as it continues to work on the racing programs in both Yorkton and Saskatoon and expanding the circuit to include West Meadows Raceway in Regina.
