Longtime horseman Sidney H. Stead passed away at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Halifax, NS on Friday, September 19, 2008. He was 81.
He is survived by his sons Gary (Bernie) and Sid Jr. along with daughters Debby (Mike) and Nancy (Steven). Loving grandfather of Bailey, Katelyn, Christopher, Christian, Matthew and Oliver. Brother-in-law of Myrtie MacRae (Arthur, deceased) and Ida MacMillan.
He was predeceased by his wife, Betty (nee MacMillan), by his parents, Harold and Ruth Stead, by his brothers, Wallace and Sterling, and by his brothers-in-law, Cyril MacMillan (Jean) and Eric MacMillan.
