P H Quick Chick was, without a doubt, the deserving winner in the $13,000 Nova Scotia Filly Stakes on Saturday afternoon at Northside Downs.

The Quick Comeback filly destroyed the field in a career best clocking of 2:00.4, winning by over 17 lengths. Driver Todd Trites took his charge straight to the front from Post 5 and posted panels of :29.3, :58.4 and 1:30.1 before sprinting home in :30.3.

The favoured Artistic Putnam (Roddy Cory Hurley) was the runner-up with Danielles Success (Angus Bates) finishing third.

Dr. Shive Trevin of Shubenacadie, N.S. trains and owns P H Quick Chick, a winner of $20,363 in lifetime earnings. The two-year-old filly improved her record to 3-3-1 in nine starts with the triumph.
