Standardbred Canada is seeking volunteers to help in a public relations campaign to maximize news opportunities and get as much publicity as possible for Somebeachsomewhere.
The undefeated Canadian colt made a tsunami-sized splash in his U.S. debut as he won his elimination for the $1.1 million Meadowlands Pace in 1:48.3 on Saturday night to pick up his tenth consecutive career victory. His next stop is the $1.1 million final on Saturday, July 19.
We are looking for volunteers from across the country who have experience or a background in public relations, connections with the sports and mainstream media in their respective areas and the ability to work from their homes. Anywhere from 4-10 hours a week through the summer will be required.
Please email your name and contact information along with a brief synopsis which includes your credentials, experience and area of expertise (i.e. 'I have many contacts with Western Ontario television and radio, etc.").
Standardbred Canada will supply much of the content and photos for stories, but is very open to the creative process. Your primary job is to get in the ear of potential media outlets.
Please tell us why you would like to join the PR Team.
