Ontario Racing Commission executive director John Blakney has stated that the ORC is expediting its part of an investigation into Freelton, ON horse farm owner Colm McNulty.
The report came in an article today in The Guelph Mercury.
The article states that McNulty is wanted in Ireland for allegedly withholding payments from that country's pension system. McNulty has a valid ORC license.
"There is an investigation ongoing," Blakney was quoted as saying. "It hasn't been completed but we are expediting it and we are talking to authorities in Ireland."
The Guelph Mercury states that McNulty and his wife, Martina, are accused of withholding over a combined $3 million to a pair of funds and that court-issued arrest warrants have been issued in a Dublin court.
