South Korea has decided to say lights out to night-time horse racing due to record high oil prices.
An article posted on UK's The Guardian website announced that the Korea Racing Association will not longer host races at night in order to cut down on the use of electricity.
The night races planned for this summer are scheduled to start earlier than normal so that full race cards can still be completed.
In Canada, six standardbred racetracks will be hosting racing this evening.
