On the afternoon of Saturday, August 30, Exhibition Park Raceway will feature the best fillies in Atlantic Canada, as the connections of 19 lasses have declared in for the Maritimer Stakes.
Co-sponsored by Standardbred Canada, the New Brunswick Standardbred Breeders Association and Exhibition Park, total purse for the Maritimer -- which is raced in heats -- is $33,790.
The three Maritimer eliminations will each carry purses of $6,758. The top three finishers from each elim will gain entrance to the $13,516 final, to be raced later that day.
The elims will be drawn tomorrow.
EPR will be putting on two cards of live racing on Saturday.
