Muscle Shirt has ripped off three straight victories and will bid for her fourth in a row in the $43,900 second leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes for three-year-old trotting fillies on Thursday, August 28 at Freehold Raceway.
Muscle Shirt drew Post 9, has been installed as the 5-2 morning line favourite and has picked up a new driver in Jeff Gregory.
The Chuck Sylvester-trained daughter of Muscles Yankee began her streak in the eliminations for the Helen Smith Trot and took her mark of 1:56.3 when she won the $70,000 Helen Smith on August 15 at Freehold.
Muscle Shirt added her third straight in an opening round New Jersey Sire Stakes event on August 21 to lift her record to three wins and two thirds in nine starts this year. Lifetime, she has seven wins and two thirds in 16 attempts, banking $134,210.
