Five $20,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) events for two-year-old colt and gelding pacers were contested on Wednesday at Harrington Raceway.
Elmer Fannin and George Teague's Mr Wiggles was the fastest winner with a 1:54.1 triumph for driver Jim Morand. The Badlands Hanover colt left from Post 7 and set all the fractions in his one-length win over Rays Big Bubba. The Teague-trainee earned his second win in three career starts.
Be Wise Tell Lies (1:56.1, Morand), Gentlemen Heir (1:54.4, Tim Tetrick), Travel Watch (1:57.3, Ben Stafford Jr.), and Get Jazzed (1:58, Jeff Fout) each won their respective divisions.
Get Jazzed, a Three Wizzards colt, was the only winner not sired by Badlands Hanover.
The second leg will be contested October 15 and the $100,000 final will be staged on October 23.
