Mister Big, the eighth richest pacer in the history of harness racing, will be showcased as part of Super Night at Scioto Downs Saturday night. The five-year-old pacer will lead a post parade with trainer Virgil Morgan, Jr.

Mister Big has earnings of $3,072,288, most of that money coming in the past two seasons. Last year he was voted the champion aged pacer in the United States as he earned $1,345,840.

This year in only nine starts, Mister Big has earned $1,288,575 and is coming off a fantastic month in August in which he won the $702,000 Canadian Pacing Derby, the $532,150 Breeders Crown, and the $332,000 U.S. Pacing Championship.

Last year Mister Big paced to a mile time of 1:47.4 winning at the Meadowlands while this year his best time has been 1:48.1 over the five-eighths mile track at Chester Downs in Pennsylvania.

In career earnings, Mister Big is only behind Gallo Blue Chip, Eternal Camnation, Boulder Creek, Nihilator, Real Desire, Artsplace and Presidential Ball.

The champion pacer is based at Scioto Downs, where his trainer Virgil Morgan, Jr. will once again get an award as the leading trainer of the meet. Mister Big is owned by Joseph Muscara of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, who enjoys seeing his champion race so much that he plans to campaign Mister Big again in 2009.

The Super Night program at Scioto Downs features eight championship finals of the Ohio Sires Stakes, each contested for a purse of $80,000. There are two finals of the Capital City Pacing Series and two Open Paces on the 13-race card.

First race post time is 6:30 p.m.
