The topic of legal, single-game sports wagering at Ontario's casinos and racetracks has been in the news this week. And the original Primetime Bobcat, award-winning Fan 590 radio host Bob McCown, has let his feelings known.
In an article today in the Toronto Sun states that McCown isn't holding his breath on the idea coming to fruition. McCown states that he isn't particularly for mass gambling centres, but for smaller, properly licensed locations.
"But I think it should be in the format of having special sports bars that are licensed for sports betting," he said. "I think for this to work it shouldn't be in a big place like the Gardens idea [the vacant Maple Leaf Gardens] but at every corner like McDonald's."
