Tonight's $257,000 Windy City Pace at Illinois' Maywood Park has drawn some mainstream media attention, as the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune have ran previews for the talent-laden tilt.
The Chicago Sun-Times article spotlights the Canadian-trained Little Brown Jug winner Shadow Play and Pepsi North America Cup runner-up Badland Nitro. The publication also states that local speedster Mucho Sleazy is also an upset play in the event.
The Chicago Tribune piece focuses on part of Shadow Play's ownership connections -- eight-time Stanley Cup winner Serge Savard, who, along with trainer Dr. Ian Moore, has been a lightning rod for much positive publicity for the industry this year.
