Trainer Dion MacLean enjoyed a productive and snowy evening at Sudbury Downs scoring three spirited wins on the 10-race card.
Wayne MacLean guided Shaws Creek Spirit (1:59) and A K Sweet Swing (2:02.4) to victory in Races 4 and 7, while Paul MacLean added another sweet score to MacLean’s training record with Coffee Crisp (2:00.3) in Race 5.
The resident of Azilda, Ontario is in the middle of his best season with 40 wins and over $185,000 in earnings. To date, the 31-year-old horseman has sent 68 winners postward earning him over $471,000 in purses.
