This afternoon, Trot Insider spoke with Somebeachsomewhere's co-owning trainer Brent MacGrath, who gave an update on the Mach Three colt heading into this weekend's eliminations for the Meadowlands Pace.

"He trained in 1:55 yesterday at Mohawk [Racetrack] with Paul MacDonell," MacGrath told Trot Insider. "He was good -- really good."

Aside from how he has been time-wise on the track, Trot Insider asked MacGrath about how Somebeachsomewhere has been temperament-wise off the track.

"He's sharp and is feeling good -- in great shape," said MacGrath.

"He's in better shape now than when he went into the North America Cup. The foot is much better and he is simply a sounder animal right now."

In the next few days, MacGrath will be shipping Somebeachsomewhere down to Mark Ford's new training centre, located in the Stony Ford area of Wallkill, New York.

"It's north of the Meadowlands and just off the highway," MacGrath explained. "It's a little quieter spot, which is also one of the reasons we decided to go there."
