Last week's SC Poll asked: "If Walter Case applied for a driver's licence in your jurisdiction, would you be in favour of granting him a licence?"

On September 14, the New York Daily News reported that an attorney representing Walter Case, Jr. filed a motion for judicial release on his behalf.

Case, one of the most successful drivers in the history of harness racing, has served four years of a five-year sentence for felonious assault after stabbing his then-estranged wife Nadine in the back with a steak knife.

A total of 2,562 people weighed in on the SC Poll, and more than two-thirds of respondents (1,755 voters, 68.5%) voted 'yes,' that they would be in favour of Case being granted a licence.

A total of 807 voters (31.5% of respondents) said that they would be against Case being granted a licence.
